Help us take care of you!
The physicians of Iberia Pediatrics are staying informed about the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation in the United States. We are actively preparing ourselves, our staff, and our office to handle the ever-changing situation. We are following CDC guidelines for testing and implementing new infection control policies in our office to protect our patients and families.
Some points we think are important:
Symptoms are expected to be similar to a URI (upper respiratory infection) and of note pediatric patients appear to do well with Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.
Upon scheduling, we will now inquire if your child or household contacts have traveled outside the state in the past 14 days.
We do not currently have COVID-19 testing capabilities in our office. For exposure concerns, please remain home and contact our office. Your information will be shared with the appropriate channels to determine the proper place for evaluation.
Elderly and those with underlying medical conditions are at higher risk. Please use judgement to determine which caretaker would be best to bring patients to our office.
The best defense at this time is prevention. Please follow prevention guidelines to wash hands properly (soap + water or hand sanitizer), cover a cough or sneeze, avoid touching your face, and remain home from school or work if you are sick.
This situation is important and will inevitably affect our community and patients. We will continue to be a source of information and care as this progresses.
These guidelines are subject to change as more information becomes available.
